PureSpelt Bread Chips
Preparation time: approx. 20 minutes
Baking or cooking time: approx. 10 minutes
serves 4 people
150-200 g any leftover PureSpelt bread, thinly sliced
4-5 tbsp melted butter or rapeseed oil
fleur de sel
garlic powder
paprika, e.g. smoked
dried herbs, e.g. marjoram

Place the slices of bread on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle with butter or oil, and sprinkle with herbs and spices.

Preheat the oven to 160°C convection (180 °C conventional). Bake the bread in the middle of the oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Turn off the heat, open the oven door slightly, and let the bread dry out completely.

PureSpelt bread chips keep wrapped, in a cool, dry place for about 2-3 weeks.
Serve with seasonal dips, e.g. guacamole, herbed Quark, garlic crème fraîche, pureed vegetables, pesto, etc.
Guacamole: Puree 1 avocado with 100 g crème fraîche, salt, pepper, and a few drops of lemon juice. According to season, garnish with spring onions, leek rings, cubed beets, or cherry tomatoes.
